Twilight is the first film in the Twilight Saga film series. This 2008 American romantic fantasy movie is based on Stephenie Meyer's popular novel of the same name. This film is directed by Catherine Hardwicke, stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

The project was in development for approximately three years at Paramount Pictures because of screen adaptation problem. Melissa Rosenberg wrote a new adaptation of the novel and later the film was shot in Oregon. On Nov.21, 2008, Twilight was theatrically released. In March, 2009, the Twilight Saga: Twilight Blu-ray and DVD were released.  And the Twilight DVD became the most purchased DVD of that year.
