Backup Band of Brothers: Absolutely Extraordinary Masterpiece

Based on historian and biographer Stephen E. Ambrose’s book of the same title, Band of Brother, an 11-hour, ten-part TV World War 2 miniseries, was originally produced and broadcast in 2001 by Steven Spielberg. And now, the episodes are still played frequently around the world. At the time it was created, it was the most expensive television miniseries made by HBO. The budget was approximately $125 million. And an additional $15 million was allocated towards the promotional campaign. To preserve historical accuracy, the various writers conducted additional research beyond Stephen E. Ambrose's book. Nonetheless, some inaccuracies did manage to get into the series, such as the case of Albert Blithe.
