Fast and Furious 5 (alternatively known as Fast & Furious 5: Rio Heist or simply as Fast Five) is the 5th installment of the Fast and Furious movie series. It was directed by Justin Lin, written by Chris Morgan and first released on April 20, 2011 in Australia. The 5th installment invited a new star, Dwayne Johnson, who plays U.S. Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) agent Luke Hobbs. The story follows Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel), Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) and Mia Toretto (Jordana Brewster) as they plan a heist to steal $100 million from corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) while being pursued for arrest by Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), the DSS agent.
